ETL certification
ETL is the most dynamic safety certification mark in North America, with a history dating back to the electrical testing laboratory founded by Thomas Edison in 1896, and is widely known and recognized in North America.
Application document
Until 2013, there are two ways to obtain ETL certificate, one is through CB test report transfer, or directly apply, the required documents are as follows:
1. Application Form
2. Copy of CB test certificate (not required for direct application)
3. Copy of CB test report (not required for direct application)
Step 4: Sample
5. Other relevant test results and product data, such as: product manuals, photos, component lists, etc.
(If transferred by CB report, a difference test is required)
ETL laboratory was founded by the American inventor Edison in 1896 and enjoys a high reputation in the United States and the world. Like UL and CSA, ETL can test and issue ETL certification marks according to UL standards or U.S. national standards, and can also test and issue composite certification marks according to UL standards or U.S. national standards and CSA standards or Canadian standards. The "us" at the bottom right is for the United States, the "c" at the bottom left is for Canada, and both "us" and "c" are for both countries.
ETL basic test methods
1) Leakage current test: The template used for leakage current test has not been tested before the test
2), normal temperature rise: test test method: thermoelectric coupling: the standard requires the use of 24-30AWG thermoelectric coupling,(30AWG currently used in the laboratory)
3) Leakage current test after tidal state: General test conditions: T= 32+/-2°C, RH= 88 ±2%. Duration: 48 hours after completion, take it out for leakage current test. Test conditions T=20~30 °C, RH=93+/-3%
4), voltage test: general non-dual insulation and grounding product requirements of the product: 1000 V / 1 minute (equipment target voltage climb time set to 5 seconds, set the cut-off current to 8.3 mA, and then maintain at the target voltage for 1 minute)
